Pretty Color, Fit, & Feel, My Notes Addrd
As indicated, I like the red color and the feel as well as the wide ribs. Initially, my concern was the way the turtleneck is sewn in rather than knitted into the garment, but trying it on erased that concern. In heat, I might feel the seam though. However, I like that there is no seam in the neck piece itself. The stitching at the cuffs does not appeal to me, so I have turned the edges in and will blind stitch them for a more finished look. I like that this garment is not boxy. It is thin and lighter weight than the Pima cotton tops I love, but it possibly will fit under a sweater with more ease and probably will dry faster. Even though I prefer all cotton, linen, or washable wools, and am opposed to spandex, I believe this top will pack and travel well. It definitely will take less space in a carryon travel bag and in a drawer. After wearing it for a longer period of time in other conditions, I will know more about how I feel about the stitching on of the turtleneck’s seam. At the moment, I seem to be wishing it had been knitted on in one piece. Otherwise, so far it is comfortable. It is too soon to comment on any skin reaction to the fabric or the dye. I am hoping this garment will serve me well, and better than I believed when I opened the package and found the neck seam. If it works well for me, I might buy the other colors. My recommendation is a temporary Yes based on these comments. If the neck or the fabric contact bother me, I would change that decision. It remains fairly comfortable as I am typing, but Pima cotton cannot be beat for comfort. This garment will be used at home, for quiet activities, layering, and travel if it proves itself sufficiently comfortable over time. I have been an L. L. Bean customer since 1991, when a friend introduced me to the company.

Nice turtleneck
I like this turtleneck very much, except for one thing: the neck is too loose. It’s soft, comfortable and attractive despite that negative.

Disappointing
I am a long time Bean customer as I love the styles and well made and well fitting clothes. I shop on line and I am always very pleased….until this recent purchase, sad to say. It was not up to Bean standards: the fabric was not good quality and I felt it was poorly made. The sleeves were 4 inches too long and folding them back would have been too bulky; the turtle neck portion was cumbersome, bulky and too wide. I had purchased two and returned them both.

Turtleneck checks all the boxes
Very happy with this turtleneck! I'm 5"2"", 109 lbs. Size Small fit perfectly. The design is a nice alternative to usual turtlenecks and the weight is perfect for wearing with or without an outer layer. I highly recommend this item.

Nice turtleneck
I really like this ribbed turtleneck; it is handsome. The top is very flattering and the collar stands up nicely. I gave it 4 stars because I would have preferred a longer top. It’s a bit short, but I did decide to keep as I like it in every other way.

Too small
I returned this, as it didn’t fit although the size, LLBean’s regular small, usually fits me well. The body was too short and tight, while the sleeves were too long.
