Not the LL Bean of the past
I purchased this Mountain Pile Fleece thinking it would be fleece lined. Unfortunately, was very disappointed as the linking is more like canvas or some type of fabric that is used to make fire fighter gear. So hard and uncomfortable. Wish LL Bean would make the clothes that are the classics that people love and come back for.

Like wearing a rug
I love the design of this fleece: the color,the length is great as is the depth of the pockets. Well sewn as is most LL Bean merchandise. However, it has a major sticking point for me. The fleece itself has a backing of really heavy almost neoprene lining that is directly attached to the fleece. It is extremely heavy and cumbersome to wear is not warm and cozy which was what I was expecting Also, it is not their usual sizing. I am normally small to medium and this runs snug . I am so disappointed in this and will be returning it

Pink…very comfortable, and this is my 2nd purchase in 2 years. The Navy/orange one which I purchased the first time, I get lots of compliments from othrers.

Mountain Pile Fleece Coat Is Just What I Wanted
I needed a new medium weight jacket, warm but not as heavy as my cold winter coat. This is above the knee (not hip or upper thigh), hooded with a cinch for fit, large zippered pockets for gloves etc. (not small hand warmer), a front zipper and no buttons. It is very warm. Great coat.

i Get lots of compliments wearing this coat!
I have had my Women’s Pile Fleece jacket coat now for about two years. I am 5’2, Size Medium, & Petite. It is my favorite. I can wear it with slacks, jeans, and skirts. It is so lightest and so very comfortable. I like it so much I got another color . Now I have 2 of the same. Navy and Pink. Washable too.

Not for me.
The coat was uncomfortably stiff. It stood away from my body as if it were starched. The liner wasn't comfortable either. I expected better for the price.

Not comfortable
I have the Women's Bean's Sherpa Fleece Coat, which i LOVE. I thought this coat was the same except it has a hood. It's not. The lining is stiff and uncomfortable. Very disappointed.
