We've redesigned our best pack ever. It's been updated with new, durable recycled main body fabric, tough 600D Kodra bottom and a rugged 210D nylon lining. Not as good as OG.
I had the original rucksack (and still do) but the interior started to flake so I bought the latest version and it is nothing like the OG. The flaps used for the pockets are cut so narrowly that the pockets no longer hold 1L Nalgene bottles. I love the colorways but this bag won't see much use and I won't be getting another.

Great travel pack
I’m a 5‘9“, 150 pound guy and the 18 inch fits me just fine. I ended up getting the 18 inch because the 21 inch with stiff suspension would be doubtful to fit under an airline seat if necessary. The 18 inch, if not stuffed, will probably fit most aircraft. Easily fits in overhead bin. Hip belt tucks away if you ever had to check it.
I just had the pack on a 10 day Ireland trip as my only bag. Contents included cap, net gator, shell, rain pants, Sperrys, light fleece, light down puffy, two sets of synthetic clothes, bathroom kit, umbrella, iPad and DSLR and related electronic peripherals, paperback book and three magazines, small journal and pen, crushable daypack, separate fanny pack. waterproof pack cover in the small top flap pocket. All contents fit comfortably. Total of about 23 pounds and the pack carried comfortably around airport terminals.
It is a good piece of travel gear. I am a happy buyer and look forward to more travels with it.

This pack was exactly what my husband was looking for! He wanted a day pack without zippers. The flaps & straps work perfectly. It is a large day pack, but lightweight & comfortable. Highly recommend!

Excellent bag that fits my needs perfectly!
YEARS ago, I had a pack like this (same layout) made of 100% cotton. I wore it out over the years and couldn't replace it. I was SO happy to see this bag with beefier construction and had to try it. And I LOVE it. All features arrived as described on 2024/04/09 (with the exception of 1 interior pocket that's not as described, they said they'd update the specs)). The main compartment is roomy and has a great top closure synch cover. The side pockets easily carry my 32oz water bottles with room for more around them and space for the closure strap to close easily. The lid pouch is lined and nice for my phone and shades or other smaller items. The small pouch on the back (two straps closure) is good for small items we want to keep handy and has 2 webbed inner pockets and strap/clip for keys. The stow-away waist belt and adjustable chest belt are ideal for my purposes (I often don't use the waist belt, so nice to be able to hide it away), and the pass-through-pockets behind both side (bottle) pockets are perfect for stowing pass through tools or hiking sticks. The side mounted diamond shaped strap-to mounts don't come with their own straps, but these are easy enough to get elsewhere. The bottom straps will easily take the rolled blanket I bring with me on day trips and the top straps on the lid should easily take a jacket or rain cover for quick access. As something of a collector of packs (PC packs, hiking packs, day-trip packs), this one will easily become one of my favorites. I have noticed in some video reviews of this pack that some folks are putting something like 40+ pounds of gear in this pack, and they say it holds it well, but my intentions are much lighter for this pack, and I'm 100% sure it will handle it well. I'll update this review if I learn anything additional that might be helpful.

A Great Pack, My Second
I bought my first Continental ruck almost 30 years ago. It was my daily work pack as a land surveyor on the Tongass National Forest, packing my rain gear, lunch, water, first aid kit, emergency blanket, flight suit, field vest, whatever I needed out in the woods. It eventually wore through and I bought a second one which had several improvements including a small zippered pocket inside. I have been retired for quite a while now, but it still goes with me on my daily walks, going to the P.O. etc.
I do have two minor complaints. The first is that there is a hole for an earphone cord. It had some rubberized "stuff", I think to keep moisture out, but that came off after a couple of years so now there is a hole which allows water in, a minor nuisance.
The second is that the shoulder straps are too far apart. The result is that they spread apart and the load is further out instead of centralized on my body. This has been somewhat remedied by installing a sternum strap but that restricts breathing room. Having the straps attached together in the middle of the pack would eliminate the need for it.
Otherwise, it's been a great pack for me; wish it was available in red though, as it was once.
