For over 80 years, we've been making our authentic Scotch Plaid flannel shirts the way we always have: better than everyone else's. Our exclusive flannel fabric is meticulously woven with longer-staple cotton, which means the individual cotton fibers are about one-quarter inch longer than short-staple fibers, making a huge difference in fabric strength and quality. Then, it's meticulously brushed eight times on each side and given a "touch test" by a master weaver to declare it soft enough.

Found my new LL Bean Standard Fit
Love the color. After wearing Regular Medium for years, I have found that the slightly fitted Med-Tall almost always stays tucked-in. At work, I do a lot of twisting and reaching for things about head height. At 5'9" 180lbs not what you call a tall man.

I purchased this for an average height female; though the product is designed for men. Why? To get long enough sleeves and body length. I guess the Maine population is short, because many of the tops reflect that. I am very happy with the quality and the fit.....finally sleeves that are long enough.

One of the most comfortable shirts -- forget shirts! It's one of the most comfortable things that ever touched my skin. It is a treat to put it on. And it came into my life just in time for single-digit weather around these parts. I've worn it to visit friends and relatives, and to work, or just around. Nice cut but seems thinner flannel for LL Bean - the fabric started pilling in a week or so. Also doesn't have that extra button in middle of the cuff so has odd drafty feeling.

Nice shirt, but sleeves are too short for med-tall
This is a well made shirt, but the sleeves are too short in the medium-tall sizes since they're a 34/35 length whereas they need to be a 36/37 length like the sleeves in the large-tall sizes. This is an inconsistency that needs to be corrected before I'll purchase any additional shirts, especially for flannel shirts that really should be made from pre-shrunk fabric since cotton flannel is notorious for shrinking.

Be realistic
I keep buying the slightly fitted while my skinny guy paunch gut grows. It pulls the sides out of my waistline. Maybe next time I’ll remember to buy the regular fit but my death grip on days gone by will likely say otherwise. Great shirt though. Comfy, warm. Stays true through many washes.
