The softest long-lasting flannel in the widest range of 100% authentic Scottish tartans.
For over 80 years, we've been making our authentic Scotch Plaid flannel shirts the way we always have: better than everyone else's. Our exclusive flannel fabric is meticulously woven with longer-staple cotton, which means the individual cotton fibers are about one-quarter inch longer than short-staple fibers, making a huge difference in fabric strength and quality. Then, it's meticulously brushed eight times on each side and given a "touch test" by a master weaver to declare it soft enough.
- Made of 100% high-quality Portuguese cotton flannel, an L.L.Bean exclusive.
- Each color is carefully matched to the historical tartans in the Scottish registry.

I am unable to confirm if the shirt is slightly fitted - I couldn't tell from the packaging or the label if it was slightly fitted. I thought it was a regular sized shirt and you made a mistake. However, it fits very well whatever the sizing.

Fit & fabric are excellent
The slightly fitted form of this shirt fits my lean frame perfectly (6', 167 lbs). I have many L.L.Bean flannel shirts in my closet (all Medium Talls) and this purchase has become my favorite. The material is softer & warmer than my older flannels; it's just right.
