Finally found the jacket that works for me!
This jacket has almost all the design points that I have been looking for for several seasons. I like the attached hood, the drawstring waist adjustment, the pocket placement, and the zip front. I only wish it was an inch or two longer for coverage in cooler temps.

Good Enough Raincoat
So far, so good. It's a little hard to get on...I think because it's a bit narrow in the shoulders. But the one time I wore it in the rain, it kept me dry.

Great Jacket. Except. .
The jacket is great EXCEPT the pockets are shallow and don't have closures: snaps, zippers or velcro closures. I love the jacket so much that I put velcro on the pockets so that I could comfortably put my keys, etc in the pockets. Works great!

Perfect for wind and rain
Lightweight and dries very quickly. Very waterproof for hours. Washes well with Nikwax products. The zipper is sturdy with large teeth that holds up well. The quality has been consistent over the years except the 2025 purchase has a hood that is too large. Prior models have an excellent hood large enough to go over a horseback riding or bicycle helmet. I keep 3 of them - a larger size to layer over my fleece vest and fleece coat for daily outside work, a backup, and one to loan to guests who don't understand the Pacific Northwest.
