Revised opinion...
I already posted a 5-star review, but I need to make a little revision. I had not noticed before that the pocket structure is inferior to that of the many full-length pairs I have purchased. In the others, the pockets are structured with a single panel that stretches across the whole front stomach area, which also functions as a tummy-minimizer. And the pockets are roomy and deep. In these new cropped pairs, the pockets are much smaller and more shallow, and they are separate pieces, not constructed with that single front panel. Definitely takes the quality down a notch, in my opinion! However, I will still wear these a lot in the summer, and no regrets for buying. Would buy more if more colors show up or they go on sale.

I love these pants. They fit perfectly and are so comfortable. I have purchased them several times over many, many years. I do notice that the fabric is not consistent but the fit always is. Love that they have darts and not gathers. Love that they have pockets.

Loved the Pants, Pockets are too Shallow to Keep
I loved the color, fit, and style of these perfect fit croped legs pants, but I was shocked by how shallow the pockets were. I put my Stanley ruler in vertically, and it measured only 1 1/2" depth from where you put your hands in. Unfortunately, my keys fell out in a dark theater before. I was worried and needed help finding them. I put my keys in my pocket when I go for trail walks or around the park. Under search here at this site, I searched pockets and saw that many have complained about the shallow pockets... one person said her phone fell out and broke. It's too dangerous for me to use these crop pants. I'm not sure why LL Bean designers couldn't design them with the full pockets the long leg pants have. I'll be sending these back, unfortunately. I hope this review helps someone.
