Waxed vs Nonwaxed
I thought both hats would be waxed due to the price being the same. Nice hat, but I have plenty of the same quality, it was the waxed I needed.

Been buying these hats for years, I guess they wear out after a couple years. This hat is slightly different style and seems much smaller. There is less material in the cap itself and it is thinner. If you are a fan of these hats as I am then the new grey one will be a let down.
Sending it back. Cannot think of a better way to lose customers than changing a proven product for something made more cheaply.

Maine Fish and Wildlife Baseball Cap
Although I am a Southerner I have a special place in my heart for the forests and wildlife of Maine. Such a beautiful place! The Maine Fish and Wildlife Baseball Cap brings back such good memories. The embroidered moose, the fish and wildlife logo and the comfort of this cap reminds me of the wonderful state Maine . I would highly recommend this cap or the others like it to anyone that has that special connection with Maine.

Moose logo Baseball cap
How can you resist? Another winner from LL Bean, the hat is a perfect fit, the styling is great with two patches sewn on, one of the Maine Inland Fisheries and Wildlife logo as well as a real nice patch of a moose on the side of the hat. There is an adjustable strap with a bronze buckle to keep t your hat at the right size for your head. Will enjoy wearing this along with my long sleeve T shirt which also has the same logo. Great unique product LL Bean, keep em coming, thanks!

Sloppy - Not Bean Quality at All
Bought two of these, one for myself and one for my son - which I had shipped to him in Nevada.
The first one I received was sent back because the embroidery on the cap side was sewn over and the hat wall was unwearable. returned it for exchange.
The second one - had hat sides which were poorly constructed, the brim and hat body were not sewn together correctly, hanging threads, etc. The hat did not sit correctly on my head, unwearable. Just sloppy workmanship.
No. 2 is going back too.
I never heard from my son about the hat I sent him - now, I am afraid to ask him.
I also bought a different hat from Bean's at the same time - it was fine, as expected.
Who is the QC person for these Maine MIF&W hats?

Maine moose cap
My ' moose" cap looked like it had already been worn and sent back. It just didn't have a new appearance. The inside of the cap looked like it had been put in a wash machine. I have 3 other LL Bean caps and none of them had this 'used' appearance.

nice hat, but color is red not maroon
I have a few of these Maine wildlife baseball caps, and they are all great. Just know that the color as shown on-line is inaccurate on the moose cap. The cap I got was bright red--strawberry or fire-engine red, not maroon. I like the red fine, but some may not. I emailed customer dervice about this, let's see if they fix the color.

Great Fit! Wrong Color...
Saw this hat online and loved the look of it so I ordered it expecting a maroon hat. Got the package and was surprised to find that the hat is a bright red color not maroon (think the B on a redsox hat). Hat still looks great and fits well too - just be wary if you're expecting a maroon hat.
