My husband loves these for warmth and thinness
I buy my man a set every year for Christmas. He wears them every day during winter and wears them out! Not a bad thing; they are very warm and thin, which he loves bc they don't bulk up under his regular clothes.

Not worth the price
I am 6'4", 225lbs and the Tall Large fits perfectly. While the gossamer thinness of the fabric doesn't bother me per se, it's really way too expensive for something this thin. After a couple wears, the sleeves are now horribly baggy near the wrists. The rest of the garment has held its shape so far, but this is looking like a very expensive and now useless shirt. I've worn it twice... Really disappointed with the quality. Still an LL Bean fan.

Very Thin, Poor Quality
I have owned silk base layers in the past and a set from LL Bean, these are noticeably of poorer quality. They are extremely thin almost see through, i doubt that they will hold up for very many cleanings. What is most surprising is the difference in quality from just a few years ago...I think that a lot of has to do with where they were manufactured. Most certainly I will no longer be purchasing silk base layers from LL Bean!

A staple for outdoors anytime & indoors in winter
Excellent first layer. Warm and extremely comfortable - beats cotton and synthetics. Easy to clean. Durable and great for travel. Fast dry, overnight.
Only wish LLBean would make a short sleeve crewneck silk tee in white or natural as well. Same thought for briefs and boxer shorts.

Silk delivers!
Was looking for a company that could replace the silk base layers I had purchased for years after that company went out of business. I use this silk crewneck for skiing and cooler golf days. It's amazing how it wicks away moisture keeping me dry and warm. It washes very well no sign of tear or wear. Very well made. I purchased the medium correctly (148lbs) but a side note...it fits very tight at the neck. Fit everywhere else is excellent. I'm used to it now, no prob. It may seem a little pricey but if you love outdoor activities and want a no stink, wick moisture away base layer....I HIGHLY recommend this product. Just ordered the silk base layer long johns as well for those spring skiing snow days.

Very very disappointed
I bought this for my husband last year but he did not have the chance to use it till a week ago as we live in sunny Florida. Just once he wore it to work under his long sleeves shirt and at the end of the day it already has a 2 inches run by the neckline like a pantyhose. For its price, I expected better quality and durability.
