Tough act to follow!
I purchased the medium personal organizer toiletry bag to replace the toiletry kit that I have loved using for 35 years after getting it as a going-away gift from a job. My old one has gone traveling with me everywhere, and it worked perfectly. It has finally started to fall apart though. I first tried LL Bean's small size, but it was too small for me even for a short trip. This one is just the right size though. For me the huge advantage over my old one is the hook for hanging it up. On its first trip with me, it fit perfectly over the towel rod in my small bathroom. I am so used to my other one getting wet on the sink counter, where it often barely fit, or being too far away in the bedroom. I like the little compartments, although I prefer the simplicity of the fewer compartments of my old one. My only worry is that the main zipper sticks a little; I hope it gets smoother rather than breaking. My old one had a cord that wrapped around and tied; I preferred that (and when it broke last year I could tie it together) because I could overstuff it. Although I'm still getting used to this new one--and not sure I can bear to throw out the one that went on so many adventures with me--I think it's going to work. I absolutely love the soft juniper color--much prettier than my old little flowered pattern. I hope this one will become as beloved.

Ditty Bag
Does anyone else call this a “ditty bag”?! 😉 I love all the deep pockets and zippered pouches. It lays pretty flat and tucks into a small suitcase nicely. I was using a gallon ziplock bag until I saw this on sale at the LL Bean outlet. (I couldn’t find a bag with enough room) I’m sure it’ll last me a very long time.

Disintegrating clear upper pocket on inside ...
Received as a gift, with my initials embroidered over 5 yrs ago. Beautiful. Probably only used about half dozen times for travel. Was about to use again only to find out the upper clear plastic pocket had yellowed, cracked, and essentially disintegrated into brittle pieces. Even though LLBean did the embroidery, without a "Purchase Receipt", so sad, too bad.

One of the most useful items I have ever purchased
I bought this to replace the one I had for more than 20 years. Quality still appears to be great. I use it for all my travel needs, whether I’m just showering at the gym, going on a weekend trip, or going a 1-2 week trip. It holds everything I need.
