This exclusive flannel shirt is woven just for us by true artisans in Portugal. These expert craftspeople meticulously brush our Scotch Plaid fabric eight times on each side to create a long-lasting material with that distinctive smooth and cozy feel. But that doesn't automatically make it plush enough. It still needs to pass the "touch test." Only a master weaver can declare it soft enough.

The softest flannel ever
I was put on a wait list for this shirt but it was worth it. It is the softest flannel shirt I have ever felt. I was able to wear it on a cool Spring day and it was just perfect. True to size. I will enjoy wearing this for years to come.

Disappointed
I was disappointed in LLBean the first day I wore the shirt. The fabric pilled right away, which is unusual for LLBean flannel shirts. I will keep the shirt because I love the plaid colors and the good fit.

Cozy flannel perfect for winter!
My "go to" cool weather shirt all season long! The variety of colors in this shirt allowed me to mix and match with my L.L. Bean forest, blue and red tees. It washed beautifully on gentle cycle. I hung it to dry.

Nice springy plaid
I already have several Bean flannel shirts, but the Washed Buchanan plaid caught my eye because I thought it would be nice for spring. Shirt is a bit large for a petite x-small, but hoping that it will shrink a little when washed.

Pilled after one wash
I’ve wanted a flannel shirt for years and finally decided to invest in a quality, thick shirt for the occasional times I’d wear one. I only wore this twice and washed once per instructions. It already shows signs of pilling so I’m returning. It looks too sloppy to wear out of the house. I checked reviews and see I’m not the only one with this problem. It’s even so thin that you can see light through it if you hold it up to a lamp. Not the quality I expected for $50. But I do love that it was available in tall.

Not what they used to be :(
I have a couple of these shirts from last year, but this particular shirt in Rob Roy pattern, was very disappointing. The fabric did not even come close to the quality of my others. The width across my back was much smaller. The fabric was more like felt than flannel. Llbean I sed to set the market standard for flannel, but this was a fail.
