This exclusive flannel shirt is woven just for us by true artisans in Portugal. These expert craftspeople meticulously brush our Scotch Plaid fabric eight times on each side to create a long-lasting material with that distinctive smooth and cozy feel. But that doesn't automatically make it plush enough. It still needs to pass the "touch test." Only a master weaver can declare it soft enough.

My favorite flannel
I have quite a few of these flannels from LL Bean, and this one is my favorite.
These shirts are soft and very comfy. I usually wear them with a layering tank or a Pima cotton t-shirt, both from Bean, and they are the best sets to wear. I ordered the large; I like extra room in my shirts, so I upsize these. The best care is to wash in a gentle cycle, air dry in the dryer for 10 minutes without heat, and hang to dry from there. The royal red plaid is like a crushed raspberry color but with more intensity and a brighter hue.
