Too Early To Tell?
It may be too early to tell about some issues I’ve seen in reviews BUT I live in Upstate New York along the shores of Lake Ontario. Those Canadian winds off the lake are COLD and this coat is good without issue into the upper single digits and even lower if you layer a decent vest or heavier sweater. I can be out in 15 degrees or lower with a 15 to 30 MPH wind and have nothing more than a sweat shirt under the coat.
The thing I like is that there is some airflow through the wool so while I’m walking the dog for an hour or more I don’t get sweaty like with coats with 100% manmade fibers.
The fit is a little full, probably to allow layering, but the cinch cord adjusts that fit easily and reversibly to accommodate your desired clothing option(s). Lots of pockets and quiet while in the woods.

Well made wool coat
This is a Great Filson’s Mackinaw Cruiser Alternative. This coat is warm and has a lot of great features. The map pocket is my favorite feature. This coat does run larger than expected and doesn’t have a two way zipper. However, you will not regret buying this coat if you are looking for a classically styled woodsman garment.

Camo Maine Guide Coat - A Winna!
The camo pattern will work in a lot of varying terrain.
Coat is warm and the outside vest pockets are great to put the hands. The coat itself is well made. It is basically identical to the green version that I purchased many years ago.

Very Large and Odd Fit!
The coat was comically oversized and oddly sized. The shoulders were down around my upper arms, and the torso fit like a rectangular box. The wool material was furthermore much less hefty than anticipated for a coat listed as "warmest" by LL Bean.

Good coat, just not great!
The coat is well built, and very warm. I gave this 3 stars for 2 specific reasons. One the chest pockets are sewn closed, I like to keep my hands in them while sitting in my tree stand. Two the zipper is not a double zipper (un-zips from the bottom), which makes it uncomfortable to sit in a tree stand for long periods of time, or sitting for any period of time. This is originally a hunting coat and lesser coats come with the features this one doesn't

Size off, order down. Great coat
Normally wear a Large in everything. Sized down and got a medium. Nice wool coat for cost. Happy with purchase. I still wear wool for hunting. Eastern Whitetail, even western hunting (elk, mule deer). Wool is such a great fiber. I only wore this coat for about a month hunting but am happy. I have stuff from a J place in Vermont, a place that makes rich wool and a BB place in Canada (review rejected because I named names). As good or better than all those.
You’ll like this coat I sure do.

all these years and going strong
I have had this parka for years and it continues to impress me. We had a winter storm here today in Charlotte and I walked the neighborhood in this with only a dress shirt underneath and I was extremely warm. Wind, snow and freezing rain and I felt like wrapped in a warm wool blanket
