12MM tips (LLbean doesn’t tell you that)
These are quality made but were the wrong size, they are 12MM tips not 8MM as I required. Not sure why LLbean doesn’t have this information available but I had to buy them to find that out and they did not fit my poles. Disappointed in the lack of information provided before purchasing. The size is important!

Design flaw?

Poor design
I bought these and after walking less than a half-mile on pavement, the carbide tips of my poles had pierced through both of them. Obviously, not durable and not protective of the carbide tips.

Hiking Pole Walking Tips
I had taken my walking tips off of my L.L. Bean Hiking Poles and put them somewhere 'safe'. Never to be seen again. But L.L. Bean had them in stock and sent them out to me quickly. Thank you!

These will only last a month
These have already worn through the bottoms. I walk with trekking polls daily and these did not last more than a month, if that.

L.L.Bean walking sticks
Only issue was that they were too long for my 25" suitcase. I took them apart and they barely fit. They worked well , keeping me uprights against steep climbs and high wide gusts.

I bought these and some LLBean poles for a vacation that involved a lot of walking through hilly cities. By the last day of the vacation, I noticed one pole was slipping against the streets and floors rather than gripping. I checked the walking tip and it had completely worn through so the tip of the walking pole was exposed. This is not the kind of quality I expect from LL Bean. I am very disappointed.

Tips poke through
The tips of my poles poke through these pretty much right away but I add a glob of Shoe Goo on the ends about every two weeks and that takes care of the problem. When they’re loose I use black electrical tape to help hold them on.

These were purchased with trekking poles. I have only used them on cement and rock surfaces but they work well to keep the poles in place and grip well on dry surfaces. Fairly easy to apply and remove.

Useful rubber walking tips
I bought these rubber walking tips in order to walk on paths and walkways. At times, I am a bit unsteady on my feet so these rubber tips on my trekking poles are very stabilizing. I have begun trekking and love it! Very reasonably priced. I bought a second set just in case.

Hiking Pole/Staff Rubber Walking Tip
Sturdy, easy to grip. "Shock absorbers" give while providing stability. Pleased I found these hiking poles. One criticism, they should come with an extra pair of rubber tip covers.

Really helpful
These make a big difference when hiking over rocks. We hike the same waterfall trail every year, and the rocks can be really slippery, and the steps really high. Before I got the tips, the poles would slip, especially on the downhill portions - when you need them to be stable! Much safer now.
