The double-sole construction and fine craftsmanship combined with a rich bison leather upper gives these a timeless look that will endure year after year. Built with a soft insert and leather lining for top-of-the-line cushioning that molds to the shape of your foot for a custom fit. Because of the quality and finish of the leather, the soles will be smooth until the bottoms are roughed up just a bit. Please be careful the first few times you wear them.

Repeat purchase
Comfortable, attractive, and built to last for years. Replacing an identical pair with a lot of mileage. Will buy again and would recommend to a friend.

Great...but not so Great
I've owned three pairs of these slippers, and they are incredibly comfortable. I love that they're made from bison leather and aren't lined, which makes them more flexible. In warmer weather, I wear thin or no socks, and when it's colder, I pair them with thermal socks—very versatile!
However, there’s one downside: the "double sole" leather bottoms wear out within a year on all three pairs I've owned, despite only wearing them indoors. I understand the soles are thin to keep the slippers lightweight, but there are lightweight sole materials available today (just look at any Cole Haan ZERØGRANDs). I'd love to see L.L. Bean adopt a more durable sole, even if it made the product lean more toward a moccasin than a traditional slipper.

Great slippers - love them, look great
I really like the look of these. The two tone with the dark buffalo top and lighter bottoms look very good. Some have a said these are very slippery, and at first these were slippery on carpet. However, after a week or so the slipperiness has worn off. I wear them only in the house with carpet, tile, and wood floors. Now they are fine on each surface without concern of sliding.
Regarding size – I wear a 10 ½ in all my other shoes. For these slippers, I ordered a 10 and they fit perfectly and I can easily slip them on and off.
The reason for four and not five stars is this. I was surprised and a little disappointed thinking these would have been made in the U.S. I would have paid more if they were made here from craftsmen in Maine. I hope LL Bean would consider having production in Maine or at least in the U.S.

Double-Sole slippers review
I have had 4 pairs through the years. Each has lasted about 10 years each set. Their quality has not changed over the years and that tells me that LL Bean pays attention to the products it sells.

Great Mocassins!
Next best thing next to walking around in stocking feet! Very comfortable and well made. They are a little slippery new out of the box, but the slickness wears off in a few days. Mine go on first thing in the morning and stay on until its time to leave the house. Highly recommended!
