For nearly 90 years, we've been making our authentic Scotch Plaid flannel shirts the way we always have: better than everyone else's. Our exclusive flannel fabric is meticulously woven with longer-staple cotton, which means the individual cotton fibers are about one-quarter inch longer than short-staple fibers, making a huge difference in fabric strength and quality. Then, it's meticulously brushed eight times on each side and given a "touch test" by a master weaver to declare it soft enough.
- Each color is carefully matched to the historical tartans in the Scottish registry.
- Made of 100% high-quality Portuguese cotton flannel, an L.L.Bean exclusive.

A brick red color. Comfortable & Cozy
Comfortable lumberjack (red) color and just right for cold weather. This shirt washes nicely per directions. Very little shrinkage.

Too large!
These shirts were Christmas presents. They were marked as 2xx they are obviously mislabeled. They are huge! I can’t wear them!

Disappointing
There weren’t any of this color in the store so I had to order one.
When I tried it on it did not fit at all. The arms were down to my knuckles, the shoulders were a couple of inches past my shoulders, the upper shirt sleeves were voluminous!
I have 4-5 flannel shirts, the same size, supposedly the same shirt by the item number….
Disappointing, to say the least from a long, long, long time customer.
