For over 80 years, we've been making our authentic Scotch Plaid flannel shirts the way we always have: better than everyone else's. Our exclusive flannel fabric is meticulously woven with longer-staple cotton, which means the individual cotton fibers are about one-quarter inch longer than short-staple fibers, making a huge difference in fabric strength and quality. Then, it's meticulously brushed eight times on each side and given a "touch test" by a master weaver to declare it soft enough.

Shirt is of good quality just like all the other shirts I have purchased fron LL Bean. I ordered the same size I always do but this one felt to be tight on me and was concern that when I would wash it I would not be able to button it. I thought I had made a mistake and ordered slight fitted or slim fir but checked shirt size and it stated it was regular traditional same size as all the other LL Bean shirts hanging in my closet that fit me perfect.

Are You From Wooster? my college 'fight song'
Like many shirts from LLBean, this one is made from a particularly soft flannel. I ordered it in the tartan of Dress McLeod of Skye because that's my college emblem. I went to The College of Wooster in the middle of Ohio, and our pipe band, Men 'o' McLeod singing group, cheerleaders all dressed with the complete kit, all except the dagger in the left sock. This shirt is as comfortable as it is beautiful.

An upgrade to my current flannel shirts
I’ve been wearing a different brand of flannel shirts and decided to give LL Bean a try. I thought my other shirts were okay, but these are really a higher quality level. From the sewing to the fabric, just much nicer. Will definitely be my flannel of choice now.
