For over 80 years, we've been making our authentic Scotch Plaid flannel shirts the way we always have: better than everyone else's. Our exclusive flannel fabric is meticulously woven with longer-staple cotton, which means the individual cotton fibers are about one-quarter inch longer than short-staple fibers, making a huge difference in fabric strength and quality. Then, it's meticulously brushed eight times on each side and given a "touch test" by a master weaver to declare it soft enough.

Great tartan flannel shirts!
Great flannel shirts! I order one for myself and brother every year for Christmas. I've been wearing these Scotch plaid shirts for years and they wear well. I am trying to acquire the whole collection. My only complaint is that I wish LL Bean would print/stitch the tartan names on the shirt tag somewhere. I have several but I can't remember what all the different tartans are. I have Scottish ancestry and am a bit of a tartan geek.

Birthday gift for my husband!
I bought this shirt for my husband for his birthday. I noticed it first on an email I received. It looked so nice on the model. I have given my husband your flannel shirts before and he really likes them and they look good on him. I have even ordered them for myself.
