elastic waist is the worst
I used to love Bean's chino pants. Now they only come in 'comfort' waist and the tapered pant leg is barely noticeable. I hate that Bean only carries these awful new version now instead of the ones they used to sell.

I THOUGHT I WAS PURCHASING WRINKLE-FREE SLACKS AND THESE ARE FAR FROM THAT. I AM DISAPPOINTED IN THESE PANTS FOR THAT REASON. I WAS SURE I HAD READ WRINKLE-FREE IN THE DESCRIPTION.

Prefer the older version
I have ordered the Bayside pants many times over many years. The most recent version is a disappointment. I do not care for the comfort waist design; the waist is too large. I wish the prior high-rise pants without the elastic were still available.

Make the hidden-comfort waist in an ultra highrise
I agree with other reviews: Why can't you make the ultra high-rise waist pants in the hidden-comfort waist. They would be a lot more stylish than the bunchy back elastic in the regular comfort waist. However, the tapered leg is nicer looking than the straight leg in the hidden-comfort waist.
