Why does Bean discontinue fine clothes that do the job?
There is no reason.
These pants are fine, but pointless to write a review about a product that is on it's way out.

Really baggy
Even though the Classic Fit is supposed to be "trim through him and thigh", so should be the slimmest of the 4 fits for the Double L Jeans, they are very baggy. Apparently the only "trim fit" jeans that LL Bean makes any more are the "slim fit" in the stretch jeans? Those jeans don't look like they are made from as sturdy a denim, and my husband doesn't want stretch jeans. :(

Best Jeans Since the 80s
LL Bean has been selling the only jeans and chinos that I have been wearing since I was in high school and college. I have lined and unlined versions of each. They come out of the dryer soft, comfortable and you just can't wear them out. I still wear the same size bottoms as I did 40yrs ago, but some tops a size larger. The Double LL jeans above have a color that is for everyone. I have several khaki pairs and washed broken in blue pairs. At the sale price of less than $30, I will have my wife order a few for the coming years as I use the oldest for lawn care, woodworking and the lined ones for ice fishing. Highly recommend !
