10 wears, max!
My first pair was comfortable, so I bought another. BUT, that was before the first pair developed a hole in the seat and another on the right pocket. If you’re looking to pay top dollar for pants that you can wear 10 times before they’re reader for the trash heap, then these are for you!

High Quality, Excellent Fit
I am in my fourth decade of wearing L.L. Bean jeans and slacks for work and leisure. From my original 34"-34" to my current 40"-34" sizes, their Natural Fit pants accommodate my leg muscles comfortably without binding. The buttons on the cargo and hip pocket flaps don't wear out like hook-and-loop, so the pockets stay closed until you want to open them and pants last until I wear out the fabric.
With their new specifications, it only takes 75 minutes of seam ripping and hand sewing to get evenly-spaced belt loops like skinnier people get from the factory.

Not true to size - bad spacing on belt loops
I have a pair of these from about 10 years ago that I bought at the factory outlet for about $10. They have served me well but I had to buy a size too small to get that price. They have worked because of the stretch waist. They are still serviceable but I thought I'd get a second pair in my correct size. The 38 I just bought is exactly the same size as the 36 I've been wearing for years. I'm not going to pay seven time as much for a pair that doesn't fit any better than the ones I've been getting by with. Also, the spacing of the belt loops is very strange. There a five loops all bunched together on the back and none on the sides. Too, bad they can't maintain quality control anymore. The old ones are a great weight for in between weather when shorts are too cold and jeans are too warm. Hopefully, I'll get another 10 years out of the old pair.

Wrong Size
The pants came with 3 others I ordered from LL Bean. These pants I did not immediately try on as all the other had fit. These were mark by tags as the same size, but when I went to wear them today I found out these pants were way too small. I ordered 38" waist, but these must be 32" that's how much these were off. I say 32" because I had order inseams of 32".

Too heavy and not true to size
Pants are not true to size, and fabric is too heavy for a classification as "tropic weight". LLBean used to make lighter weight cotton pants, but has not done so for over a decade, despite comments (like mine) that cried out for bringing back the former lighter weight style. And I thought LLBean listened to its customers...

The elastic on the sides is much to tight. Had to remove to make comfortable.

Nice pants, but they wear out and tear quickly
These are nice pants for spring, summer, and fall. The problem is that they consistently rip at the bottom of the fly/zipper panel. That has happened with every single pair I've bought for over 4 years now, regardless of how careful I am with them in the wash, and regardless of whether I wash them buttoned and zipped up.
