A very nice, quality coat.
Heavy duty fabric, yet soft and pliable. My only complaint, if you want to call it that, is the thread used to sew on the buttons. It is not heavy enough, they should have used button cord.

A classic for a reason!
There are certain L.L. Bean products that a loyal Bean customer from the 1960’s would recognize as a L.L. Bean product. The Maine hunting boot is one, and so is the original field coat. As a traditionalist I love the coat’s long association with the store. As a customer, I love the fit, feel, and look of this coat when I put it on.

PERFECT FIT
I have heard for months from my partner that he wanted a “barn coat” for his birthday. I had no idea what a barn coat was but We found the perfect one! He was so excited when he got it that he couldn’t wait for the weather to get cold enough to wear it! He is very happy with the fit and quality.

Fantastic
Amazingly, I found an almost new coat second hand. It's an amazing piece of kit, and the XXL Tall fits like it was made for me (I'm 6'8"). I'm very pleased with the durability and wind resistance. There's room for a mid-layer, and I'm looking forward to testing it out in colder weather. Bravo!

I’ve wanted an LL Bean Field Coat for awhile now and finally purchased one. It’s a size XL Regular and it fits perfectly. The fabric isn’t stiff at all and the lining is very comfortable
