Beautiful Cable Sweater
I wanted a cream colored cable sweater and this one caught my eye. Unfortunately it was too thick and heavy for me. The fit was ok, a little big.

Nice and thick!
I almost passed on this since the previous reviews weren’t all that favorable. I did take their advice and ordered up. I’m not sure it was all that necessary for me, but I love a slightly oversized sweater. It’s not obviously big which is why I’m not exchanging. I am short waisted and the sleeves hit exactly where I want them to. I do feel my arms are long so that’s a biggie.

Great heavy weight cotton sweater
I ordered this in a petite large instead of my usual size medium. It is perfect. I love the collar since it lies flat. Not a summer sweater, but great for other months.

Debating returning
I agree with the other reviewers that this sweater doesn’t fit as the other double Ls do. It got a little smaller after a cold wash and flat dry. It was borderline too short (5’8”; 145-150lbs; 38B bought my usual medium) but I loved the weight of the sweater so I took a chance. I stretched it after washing; it went back to the original too short size; I gently stretched it after putting it on; it was ok…but then I checked the weave. The navy sweater was ok, but the beautiful teal had thread pulls. I’m not sure if there were there on arrival or from the wash, but several woven areas had threads sticking out. I keep checking to see if bean will release this style in tall for the over 5’7 crowd. You do everything in petite, so why forget the “tall” people (and I don’t consider my 5’8” frame tall at all—people are taller now, bean). Someday, ll bean will offer all styles in tall, and I will shop here exclusively. Let’s start with this sweater (and move on to the pima tees!).

Almost Perfect
I bought this in the burnt mahogany color and it’s a beautiful, rich color. My usual size Regular M was a perfect fit. I like how the cable pattern is also on the back of the sweater. Here’s where it loses a star. The knit weave between the cable pattern is a loose weave and hits across the bust. I was wearing a coral colored bra and it showed in spots through the loose weave. My bust is 36C, so if you’re bustier, it will be a worse problem for you. I will keep it and try a neutral bra when I wear it, but it unfortunately affected an otherwise perfect sweater.

Pretty but runs very small
This is a heavy sweater and well made. The toffee heather color is very rich. But it runs very small. I felt it ran two sizes smaller than how it was marked.
