Not deserving of the “1912” moniker
The cut of the shirt is fine but, as noted by others, the material appears to be a loose weave brushed twill that pills after one wash. I expected a tighter weave midweight flannel akin to that used for the scotch plaid flannel shirts. If LLBean is going to lean on its legacy in promoting a new product line, it ought to insure that quality of the products measure up

Great fabric, not so great fit
I ordered two shirts, Dark Black and Teal. I've washed one of them a few times to compare to the other for shrinkage. Very little shrinkage. But I'm taking away one star, my fault for not reading more closely. I'm a little thicker around the middle these days and always buy relaxed fit. I didn't see that this one was supposed to "softly shape my body." The "softly shaping" fits a bit too snug.

Comfy Flannel
This flannel shirt is made with the best cotton flannel I've ever owned. It fits me well, not too tight, yet not to loose. Very warm and comfortable for the cold weather. Washes nicely. I purchased the dark black option which coordinates nicely with many other colors. Extremely happy with this flannel shirt.

Not sure about the fabric
I bought this to replace a much-loved flannel shirt of the same plaid, but it is not really the same, sort of dark and murky. The fabric surface is fluffy and has already started to pill. But it's warm and it fits okay.

Poor fit
This is the second shirt that I have bought but a different color. Although the name is the same, the fit is not. This one fits too tightly across my chest, whereas the first one did not. I am returning it.
