Love it
Read the reviews---it does runs BIG.. I'm 5'8", 150 lbs usually at least a large, ordered a medium-fits fine, still room enough to wear baulky sweater underneath.

The Perfect Layer
I had purchased this chore jacket in corduroy and couldn't wait to get it in denim. The denim is slightly more casual and the perfect layer for early morning walks and then errands around town as the weather becomes cooler and the wind a little stronger. I especially enjoy the large pockets and the softer look of the rounded collar. It is another winner in my opinion.

Love this Shirt/Jacket
I bought this as soon as I saw it pop up in an LLB ad. The style is really cute especially the Peter Pan collar, and the front pockets are so easy to use. Side pockets are sometimes awkward for me because I am so short (4' 8"). The denim is incredibly soft with a "prewashed" look and feel. I rolled up the sleeves at the cuffs and like the length. I've worn it outside on a cold day with a sweater under it, staying comfy. I purchased a size small because of the reviews instead of my usual medium for roominess. Agree with reviewers asking of Petite sizing. The Signature offerings are nice. It does with metal buttons but I prefer regular buttons. I love the comfort, ease of putting on/off, and the retro style. I recommend it!

Favorite Jacket Redux
I still own the original jacket in red denim. I purchased the Gardiner Jacket in red denim in the early 1980’s. It is incredibly well made, and so is the one I just bought.

I wish this came in a petit size. I usually wear a x- large, but in talking with Jay(who was super) decided on large. Fit was great except sleeves were too long. Sent back. I was very disappointed. I love denim and most of my clothes are yours thru thr years.

An LLBean vintage piece returns!
So, I love old LL Bean vintage items from back in the day and I noticed this style jacket with the peter pan collar as something they originally did in the 80's/90's, but used buttons instead of metal buttons. It's more of a jacket IMHO and I I'm normally a size medium so I got a size med and I think it's TTS for a jacket. My measurements are 36 A chest, 30-32 waist, 5'5", 140 lbs. I almost wanted to exchange it for a large for a more oversized look but I stuck with the medium because the arm length was already covering the tops of my hands, which is fine. Folded back once they also look great. Very simple, comfy, roomy enough, the pockets are so cute and it still gives off that vintage magical thrift store find which I'm so happy about. The collar is so sweet and you don't see peter pan collars that often, especially on a denim jacket which makes this piece so special. The blue wash is chef's kiss! Please bring back more of your original styles, LL BEAN!! I promise you that the thrifters of the world will definitely be here scouring your site more often if you do! LOL!

A Winner!
I have looked and purchased many denim shirts and jackets over the years. This feminine Peter Pan collared denim piece is perfect for me. It does have a drop shoulder style and does run large. I usually take size 1x with LL Bean. Tried on the L and loved the fit. And sleeves are not too long, yet look classy turned back. Roomy fit, metal buttons and nicely situated pockets. I even tried it on over a heavier cotton tunic and it wasn’t constrictive at all. This is the classy piece I’ve been waiting for. It has already taken the place of 4 other denim/jean jackets packed for the thrift shop! Well done LL Bean!
