Toasty warm in the storm
Bought this coat for a trip to Ireland in October. Light weight and not at all bulky, it was perfect for travel. Storms coming off the Atlantic gave us a few days of heavy rain and relentless wind. In this coat I stayed warm and dry, able to enjoy the outdoors quite comfortably, despite the weather. It dried quickly. The inside pocket kept my passport and money safe so I didn’t have to bother lugging a purse around. Now back home in the northeast I know I’ll be toasty warm all winter in this great looking coat.

The winter warmer coat is great!!!! It is warm, comfortable and has deep pockets that you can use to keep your hands warm. You can't go wrong with this coat.

Great coat!
I was pleasantly surprised when this coat arrived in the mail. I got the rosewood color which is really pretty. It’s true to size. I love the fleece lining. The lining does not extend into the sleeves which makes it super easy to take on and off. The hood is the perfect size so you can wear a hat under it which is what I like to do. It has an inside pocket large enough for my larger iPhone 15 pro max. It’s made with excellent quality. I look forward to wearing it for years to come.

Disappointing - Quality Has Changed
I’ve owned two winter warmer coats in my life and this latest update is disappointing. As others have noted, it runs small - I had to size up. The sleeve closures are now Velcro and don’t fit snuggly around the wrist. The hood is far too big. It is also a very lightweight coat - as a New Englander, I doubt this coat is going to be warm enough for cold winter temps. To top it off, the coat arrived with a strong chemical smell that I cannot get rid of, something that has never happened with an LLBean product before.

Weather proof warm jacket.
Nice, warm coat. Good for cold, wet weather. I wouldn’t wear it for every day use, though. The water resistant, crinkly fabric, is better for rainy and snowy days. Well made, and color true to what I saw online. Fits well.

What a disappointment!!!!
I own and have worn 2 women's winter warmer coats in PETITE for the past year, and enjoyed them immensely. This year I ordered 2 winter warmer coats to update colors.
What a big disappointment in 4 areas! The coat is much lighter weight with less stuffing in the body of the coat and will not keep me warm this winter. The new cuffs have velcro which catch lint and attract burrs, etc. The hood is much too large and almost covers my eyes which I need to see. I don't think the hood was sized to fit a petite person, but hood size must be the same for all coat sizes, including extra large. The arms are thinner than last year's model, and will not comfortably accomodate layered clothing. I am returning my 2 new coats and will wear older ones with none of the above issues!

Love it!
I needed a new winter coat this year and had been looking for a while. I know and love the reputation of LL Bean and saw this coat. I really don't like buying without trying it out but I took a chance also because I wasn't sure what size to order. I received it yesterday and it not only fit perfectly but was so comfortable. I'm not wishing for the weather to get colder but I'm anxious to be able to wear it. I think it's going to work perfectly and keep me very warm this winter

Love this coat
This is my third coat in this style in the last 12 years. I keep coming back to this one because it keeps me warm and dry when I walk the dog in winter. It is a fitted coat so if you are going to wear a bulky sweater underneath, size up. I am a size 12 and the Large fits comfortably with a bulky layer underneath. I notice this one is lighter in weight than my previous 2 so hoping it keeps me just as warm and dry as the others. I have faith that LL Bean kept this in mind when they redesigned this coat.
