We've improved our most popular medium duffle, loved since 1996 for its travel-tough durability, fun colors and great price. Now made of 100% recycled fabrics, with a new U-shaped zipper that opens wider for easier access. Meets most airline carry-on requirements.
Introducing our best-ever Adventure Duffle, redesigned using customer feedback, product reviews and tests from our own in-house lab. We chose a rugged fabric that's 100% recycled--and just as strong as before. Next, we packed it with improvements, including a wider opening, more comfortable shoulder strap and a new storage pouch you can use as a packing cube while traveling. Available in sizes and colors for every member of the family!
- Fabrics are made from recycled plastic bottles; this 35L bag uses 17 plastic bottles.
- PFC/PFAS-free durable water repellent (DWR).
- 100% recycled 600-denier polyester on body, with 100% recycled 1000-denier polyester on base that's twice as abrasion resistant for added durability.
- Waterproof fabrics. Zippers and seams not waterproof.
- Coated interior for added weather protection; tested for 24 hours in our deep freeze with no signs of cracking, flaking or peeling.
- Spot clean.
- Zipper flap adds weather protection.
- Grab handles at either end for easy maneuvering, with low-profile lash points.
- Roomy main compartment.
- New U-shaped zippered opening offers 50% more access to contents inside.
- Handles have wrap closure for comfortable carrying.
- Redesigned storage pouch can be used as a packing cube while traveling, and to store duffle between uses.

Quality seems fine, but has very unpleasant odor which transfers to clothing, etc., that is packed in it.

LL Bean duffle
Very simple and very well-made duffel bag that I purchased for the gym. I do wish it was available with a few less logos on it or smaller logos as it is covered in three large L.L. Bean logos. Aside from that, it is made with L.L. Bean’s top quality and I do expect it will last a long time.

Perfect Weekend Duffle
I find this duffle easy to carry. Even when it's full, it's not too heavy and the shoulder strap makes it easy to transport. I like that it resists water. It was one of a group of three that I purchased. This one is in mint green and very pretty, too.

Sturdy excellent design perfect for gym or trips
Excellent design and workmanship with rugged fabric and zippers. Perfect size for gym or weekend trip. Will fit in overhead or under seat. Easily holds a couple sets of clothes and footgear.

Disappointed no compression straps
I have an older version and wanted to buy a new one, but theyno longer have compression straps on the top of the bag. That was a great feature, so won’t be buying after all

Want to Love but very Frustrated with this Bag
I just purchased this bag. I really want to love the bag and purchased because my girlfriend has a Medium that is the ideal size for 4-5 day trips. I have a large that is too big and cumbersome. Also for reference my kids have small bags. This New Style medium Adventure Duffle (logo and zipper layout is new) is not the same size as the old adventure duffle medium bags. The base size is the same and that is what I measured before ordering but the height and shorter and the bag tapers from bottom to top making it smaller. Not a fan of the LL Bean logo either, I like the mountains on the top but had the billboard they are using. I did not order the large because it is a 70L bag versus this which is a 35L bag.
I really encourage LL Bean to drop the logo, offer a size between the 35L Medium and 70L Large (maybe a 50L or 55L) and keep the new zipper layout on top of the bag.
