Almost perfect
Great shirt. There is one problem with the shirt that needs to be mentioned, otherwise I would give it 5 stars. The flap, that the buttons are attached to and run down the front, is not hemmed. It has a tendency to fold back on itself after washing, requiring extra ironing to properly flatten out the flap. Also wish there were additional color choices.

They left out the pencil hole!
If you love Bean's canvas shirts as I do (I have seven) and think this is just another in a yet more beautiful blue (which it is), then BEWARE! They failed to make the pencil/pen hole over the left pocket, which makes it impossible for those of us who carry a pencil or pen for notes. I had to cut my own into the new shirt. WHAT A DUMB MISTAKE! Will they correct this? Why do I doubt that? And how many sales will they lose because of this?

Too few color options in Tall size
I am usually most comfortable wearing size Tall Large in shirts. Sometimes I can wear size Regular Extra-Large. With these shirts the Size Tall Large only had two colors options (while Regular Extra-Large had four color options), and they were not the colors I wanted. I’m very disappointed that there are not better Tall size options.

Disappointed
Not what I expected from a company that I have trusted and bought from for over 30 years. Size is a bit large, and breast pocket lacks a pen/pencil opening, a big deal for me.
After laundering per instructions, collar was a mess.
Maybe ok to wear while fishing or working on one’s car, but this is not what I want to wear at a social occasion.

Cannot go wrong.
This is a very comfortable shirt. The material, cut and texture lends it for use in a semi-formal situation, especially with a sport coat, but the dual pocket flaps makes it easy going casual in any setting.
