The high-quality fabric goes through a special washing process so it feels soft from the start, with no break in required. Then we carefully selected button, rivet and thread colors that are unique to each wash for a classic look--it's these small details that make all the difference. Ok, but to much stretch
They start out feeling and looking good. However, with in a few hours they stretched out to the piont they are hanging off you. Just way too much stretch that does not recover!

Outstanding fit for a big guy
For a big guy (6’5’’ and 265lbs) it’s always been hard finding pants or jeans that don’t have those disgusting expansion panels built in nowadays. I was in a local Bean store and my wife found these jeans on the shelf. I saw they have spandex type material built in and guess what, they fit like a glove. The most comfortable jeans I ever owned. Leave it to Bean to figure it out. Love them and now own several pairs.

Too elastic and heavy.
I have two complaints. The jeans are too heavy and way too elastic. If I bend over to pick up something off the floor, I have to tighten my belt to the point of being uncomfortable to keep the elastic pull of the fabric from my heals to the back belt loops from pulling the jeans down in the back.

Bring back the old 1912
This new design is Ok but it should never have replaced the old 100% denim, riveted style. The old 1912's were a classic. Please bring them back.

Not The Same as They Used to Be
I love the old 1912 jeans and have had the same few pair for 15 years. After recently losing weight, I ordered a new pair and they could not be more radically different. Bean discontinued the old style and the new one is awful in my opinion. They are stretchy ( not there yet) and look like women’s jeans. I returned them.

Great value.
Excellent value, quality ,and extremely comfortable. They come out of the dryer looking great and have the feel of 100% cotton and the blend adds to the comfort and fit. I can't recommend this value enough!

Too much stretch
Looking forward to my new jeans but it turns out the waist went from a 33” to 36” just too much stretch in those pants. I returned them for a pair of 1912 Double L’s hopefully they are a better fit.

Classic cotton jeans
These are basic cotton jeans which I prefer. I have been wearing "Bean Flex" which have elastic throughout the material. They cover my extra pound or two nicely but are hard to get on or off after a shower, swim, or hike. They tend to cling and hold heat.

What Happened?
I have a couple pairs of 1912 jeans that I bought 2 years ago and they are my favorite jeans, but they are getting a little washed out so I ordered new pair. They fit fine, but Bean has changed the material to this stretchy fabric that 'whiskers' at the thighs. Will keep them for wearing around the house, but really dislike the wrinkled look of new material. Please bring back the original version...

No longer durable! Rip after only 5 months
I bought two pair of Vintage 1912 jeans in March 2024 and they’ve both torn in the seat for no apparent reason. They are now a different material than my previous LLBean jeans are very comfortable but no longer durable at all. I have other jeans from LLBean purchased in 2016/17 that are still going strong.

Not like they used to be
Although they have the same name as the line of jeans that was discontinued a few years ago, they are not as good as they used to be. The fabric feels thinner and is no longer 100% cotton. While they are soft, I do not like the stretchiness. I don't understand why more and more of LL Bean's clothing are stretch.
