These classic sweaters were inspired by our own outdoor sporting sweaters and named after the beautiful, rugged Rangeley Lakes region of Maine. Made of 100% merino wool for a supersoft feel, they're designed to be lighter in weight than many wool sweaters, so they can be worn most months of the year.

Amazing Fit and Feel
I got the dark green color, sized medium. Im 5’6” 165 lbs, and medium fits like its custom tailored. The dark green pairs well with chinos, khakis, or jeans. I sometimes wear a collared shirt underneath and the collar positions perfectly where it shows. The material is soft, but the wool can be a little itchy after a long day. I don’t mind that though. The material is thick and luxurious feeling. I just ordered a second in a different color.

GORGEOUS PERFECT SWEATER!! "EXCEEDS EXPECTATIONS"!
This is a BEAUTIFUL Merino Wool Sweater! Very warm, yet not bulky. Thicker than most Merino Wool Sweaters! I agree with one reviewer: this Rangely Wool sweater "exceeds expectations"! Not as bulky as the lovely ragg wool sweaters (that only LLBean does best), and also in beautiful colors! Very nice for ladies too! (Size one size down for equivalent ladies sizing). The red heather and lovely orange colors are just BEAUTIFUL!! Purchased the Red Heather and Orange colors for my husband and myself. Very pleasant surprise to have such high quality sweaters in these nice colors!! The Rangely lines pattern is so nice yet subtle ... this adds texture and also prevents pilling due to ribbed flexibility. Accurate sizing, room for a turtleneck or long sleeved shirt underneath.

What is with the ribbed lines?
When I first received a few of these sweaters as a gift from LLBean, I was very pleased. However, I am not a fan of the ribbed patterns around the shoulders and sleeves. Why on earth did LLBean change their design? This design is very odd. Not a fan. I'm returning these sweaters today.
