Don't buy!
I'm surprised a company like L.L. Bean still rips people off with this sweater. I bought mine last year. I wore it once, then hand-washed it and laid it flat to dry. I noticed right away that it had pilled all over. I tried wearing it, but hundreds of little balls of material were dripping from it. This is a one-time-only waste of money.

Great sweater
I love this sweater. It fits great it’s sized right. The only thing is it pills up really bad in areas where it rubs against itself like on the sides and under the arms.

I like it but the loose texture is easy to get catches and pulls so i need to be mindful of what im doing and not pick up my cat so her nails dont damage it.

Shrinks
I bought this sweater in two colors and absolutely loved everything about them. That is, until I washed them. I’m 5’2”, 120 lbs annd originally ordered a Small Petite that fit perfectly. I washed it per the instructions and it shrank a lot. I ordered again in a Medium Regular and hope that when it shrinks it will fit. I read the reviews and I see other people had the same problem.

Cozy BUT pills horribly
I purchased two of these sweaters at the same time. I loved the fit and the colors. It is very cozy and functional for cold Vermont days. HOWEVER, they pill horribly within hours of the very first wear. Sadly, I returned one of them and kept the other one for more relaxed stay-at-home days where I don't mind being seen with pills all over my sweater.

Beautiful sweater,until it was washed
This was such a nice looking sweater, in colors that I love, that I bought several of them, having confidence in your quality.
Not this time. The sweater pilled upon the first wear, and lost a great deal of fiber during the first wash, despite using cold water and a gentle cycle. They're now downgraded to second-string sweaters.

I really wanted to like this sweater
I liked the look and color of this sweater so much. I really wanted to love it as much as the other sweaters I had gotten from Beans this year. But I found that it pilled very noticeably within hours of wearing and even though I got a small size, it was way too big.

Essential Turtleneck
I previously bought this turtleneck in the plum heather color and loved it. I received a gift card and decided to buy another in the green heather. I am 5 ft 1.5 inches tall and weigh 130 pounds. I would recommend it and it goes especially well with leggings. I live in New England and wear sweaters a lot.

Nice colours
This sweater was relatively expensive but I purchased this colour and the navy one. The fuzz is relentless and I have to use a machine to de fuzz each time I wear either of the sweaters. Very disappointing. Purchasers should be warned. I am used to great products from llbean!

A Great Sweater!
I ordered this sweater in the blue color which is stunning! The fit is perfect and I love the high neckline (turtleneck). I’ve received many compliments when I wear it. I was concerned the yarn may be itchy, but it’s very soft against my skin.

Don't Buy - Not a Quality Sweater.
This sweater pills worse than any sweater I have ever owned! When I tried to wash it it threw pills all over everything else in the load and I had to rewash the entire load because the pills didn't come off of anything in the dryer.
I'm trying to save it with my battery operated pilling tool, but the pills are clogging the machine, which I've never had happen before.
I can't believe LL Bean would allow this sweater to remain one of their items. It is very disappointing quality.

Sweet style and quality
I love the style (especially the different textures in the knit), the fit, and the warmth of this sweater. It’s excellent quality. My only slightly negative is that the wool is a bit itchy. Wearing a light shirt under the sweater has solved that for me.

Almost a keeper
I purchased the grey. I do like the style of a mock t-neck overall and the split side seams at the bottom hem. The knitted pattern on the sleeves give it a classy, not so plain, styling as well. I might have kept it, however it was a little too under my chin...even on my long neck.

Recommended.
Not quite as warm as I hoped, but I like it. Purchased in wine heather - very pretty. Soft, fits well. Only drawback for me is the turtleneck, which is quite high for my short neck, but I fold it back a bit and it looks nice. Tunic length is good and it has enough flare not to be tight across hips.

Itchy and Sheds a lot
The fit was very nice so I was hoping that once I washed it, it would be less itchy. Not the case - it got worse! And also sheds all over the washing machine and other laundry.
