Pair with vest
I purchased the off white to wear with my long LLB sweater vest in sailcloth color. I wanted a put together look for the winter and I hope this will do it.There is room for a T shirt under the sweater. Sleeves are long on me (not unusual) and entire sleeve is ribbed making it easy to cuff.

Terrible pilling
Bought this in two colors. The blue is fine but the gray looks like i have owned the sweater for years. I should have paid attention to the reviews

It's almost cozy sweater season!
Great fit. Comfortable neck, a bit longer than a true mock turtleneck, but not as long as a full turtleneck. Longer style.

Just Perfect
So soft and utterly luxurious...I ain't out for compliments, but they came my way. It's perfect with the LL Bean Sherpa longer vest with zip and deep pockets..Compliments all the time. I love everything about this beautiful turtleneck. I'm a Petite 5'1 on a good day , size M.

Fabric blend pills almost immediately, rumples
I bought this sweater in a wedgewood blue and this cream. The fabric blend is so poor quality that it pilled the first time I wore it. Following the washing instructions to a T didn't make things any better. The sweater rumples and becomes creased over the course of the day while you wear it-- it's almost like the sweater was a Shar Pei in another life.
I used to save up to buy Beans' lambswool, shetland, and cashmere sweaters, because they lasted forever, didn't pill easily, and kept you looking presentable for business casual work wear, year after year. The decision to go for cheap wool blends has been a disaster. The quality of all their clothing has significantly worsened over the years, and the sizing is no longer consistent-- I cannot depend on L.L. Bean to have high quality, predictably-sized clothes any more.
My experience with these sweaters was the last straw-- Bean's has gone from the top of my shopping lists to the bottom.

Beautiful sweater
I loved the sweater! I got many compliments.
After washing it by instructions. I was unhappy with the piling! I shaved them off. Wore it a second time. Washed by itself as instructed. The piling was worse.

Too much shedding
I really liked this weather. Very warm and it fit well. But it sheds so much that I can't wear it anymore. It sheds in the wash and also while I wear it.
