Fun for everyday use
I bought the green plaid , like it because of the Sherpa lining. I would have given it 5 stars except the sleeves are a bit noisy but helps slide over a hoodie nicely! Runs a little big but when I purchased it I had a hoodie on so it was fine and that’s fine for layering. Fits great though for me , I’m 5-8 and 180 pounds. Large fits fine and not tight. Wool seems about right 85 percent /15 nylon which most are!

Perfect except!
I really like this hunting jacket… after I trimmed out the sleeve lining! Warm and comfortable, I simply layer under it which works great.

Missed it by that much.....
I had nearly the same experience that the review from Larry V gave. I normally wear a 3Xl Tall and it fits like at least a 4x. I realize it was likely built to layer, but I'd rather order a size up myself, not fund someone did it for me. My sleeves are crunchy nylon with no insulation other than the outer shell as well. I agree that the nylon lining in other LL.Bean coats would have been a much better choice. That or lining it with the same sherpa in the body. I hope someone who can fix the issue reada these, because it's otherwise a really nice jacket.

LL Bean dropped the ball on this one
Having purchased two of the primaloft lined Maine Guide shirts, I had high expectations for this one. The issue is the only lining in the sleeves is a single layer thin wind proof barrier that sounds like the crumbling of paper every time I bend my arms. It's loud enough for others to hear, and it drives me crazy, and I will be returning it for the Red/Black primaloft version. Why not keep the primaloft sleeves on the sherpa shirt instead of the crinkely Home Depot black bag looking liner? It is shocking that LL Bean let this one get past quality control. Sizing is off too. I wear a large and it wears like and XL.

With this one, I know I look Sharp!
Such a nice feel and fit, I’m very happy with this one. The quality stand above all others I’ve purchased in the past - by far superior to anything I’ve owned before. Well done LL Bean.

Poor Sleeve Lining
I liked the look and overall fit of the shirt-jac but was very disappointed the Sherpa lining did not extend into the sleeves. Instead the sleeves are lined with, in my opinion, a low quality polyester that almost feels like plastic. It’s also loud as the polyester crinkles when you put your arms in and move around. I would consider repurchasing if they ever decide to extend the Sherpa lining into the sleeves. I returned the shirt-jac immediately.
