Great larger day pack.
This bag is the perfect size for longer day drips. I has plenty of room to pack. The outside water bottle pockets are roomy and accessible. The top zipper is perfect for items that you need during the hike.

Cute but doesn't hold up!
I got this as a gift and used it for 2 international trips before the handle broke and it tore! This is my first backpack from LL bean and I'm so sad since their clothes are great quality. I don't recommend this bag unless you plan on using it very lightly.

Pretty Good, But…
I don’t love that the water reservoir takes up space inside the pack. Other than that, it’s a good day hike companion.

Comfortable
I loaded this pack up with many essentials to go on a scout trip. I needed something that would hold everything such as a larger first aid kit several bottles of water and lunch , extra clothes etc (10 essentials) I absolutely loved the performance of this bag ! It is amazingly comfortable. I had another brand similar to this bag and it was so terribly uncomfortable it would knock the wind out of me. I packed the same items in this bag and it felt light. I couldn’t believe it. I am so happy to have found this bag and I highly recommend it.

Versatile Pack!
I hike a lot - I've hiked the whole Appalachian Trail, so I am particular about packs. I bought this pack to use in Glacier National Park. 30L is a good size for longer hikes but not too big for shorter hikes when it isn't full. We carried lots of water, layers, food, emergency kit, and even our fishing gear most days. We even fit our stuff to spend two nights at one of the backcountry lodges (so we didn't have to pack camping stuff, but still packed for two days worth of clothes, toiletries, gear, etc.) On shorter day hikes it cinches down and doesn't feel bulky. Highly recommend!
