It fits me!
I'm a small woman and noticed my shoulders hurt after hiking a few hours with a pack I picked up at a resale shop. That pack was man-sized and no matter how I adjusted the straps, it didn't fit my body. After using it for a year, my shoulders hurt. I decided it was time to invest in woman-sized pack. The Ridge Runner is perfect for me. It has plenty of storage compartments, and best of all, it fits my body.

Perfect pack for a day trip for a petite woman
I like this backpack a lot since it is small and has the waist and front back straps that helps distributes the weight. I am a petite senior woman that likes to go on one day hiking trips.

Comfortable, but water bottle pockets are terrible
I really like this backpack. It is comfortable and just the right size for day hikes. However, the water bottle pockets on the sides are cut too low. If I bend down my water bottles (I carry one for me, and one for my son) fall out of the backpack and into the dirt. This keeps happening. I wish the side pockets weren't so low cut and held the water more securely. I've never had this problem with a backpack before.

Perfect for Long Hiking
LOVE this backpack. I’m 77 years old and go on long hikes-usually 10 miles plus-with my hiking club. I have back issues (severe scoliosis) and the shoulder straps plus bands at the chest and waist take stress of my back, as does the padding from top to bottom. The option for a water bag is another plus.

I love this pack. It's great for hiking, holding pickleball racquets and more. Holds 2 waterbottles and with the chest and waist straps takes weight off your shoulders. It's easier to carry than a purse and will hold a snack and light jacket rolled up. Best pack I've ever owned and will use all summer hiking and attending art shows and other outdoor activities.

new backpack woes?
I have only used the backpack a few times and I like the size of it, perfect for a day hike but got real sore shoulders after about 4 miles on a recent hike. I did not have too much in the pack so I will have to see if that continues on future hikes. It's good looking and i want to like it but time will tell.
