My favorite boots in years
This is my second pair of this boot, because I love this boot. I take it hiking occasionally, but it's primary use is urban hiking -- long walks to reach a bus or simply to get where I'm going. The toe box is wide and very protective of toe, inside and out. I love the ankle support and, in the rain, the waterproof feature is a plus or me. Given an athletic shoe once flew out from under me on a steep rain-soaked surface at my home, I doubly appreciate that these grab surfaces reliably -- I live on a steep hill and the property of the apt building where I live is very steep. Sizing is ample for socks.

These were surprisingly lower than how they look in the photos, seeming closer to the trailduster version athletic shoes I own in both colors and have enjoyed them. Also, I was not happy with the fit of these hiking boots. They were especially uncomfortable at the back of both feet with uneven feel straight across and after trying to make them work wearing them in the house, I had to let them go. I would have preferred a bit higher boot might have worked but the softer inside missing in the back was especially indicator to send them back.

I just bought these and they are nice looking and comfortable but I went up half a size. The toes box is roomy but they run a little bit short.

These are well-constructed boots, but I found them to be about one-half size too short. Because this style isn't offered in size 10 1/2, I reluctantly returned them.

Nice high and wide toe box
I bought half size larger based on reviews. I like the space in the tow box so toes don't get squished. Very comfortable walking around the house . I think they will be just what I was looking for to wear on my River cruise with Alps extension next year

I am very pleased with this boot. Luckily it was a true medium width and not a narrow width. Love that there is room to wiggle my toes and even wear a warm sock without my toes being pinched. I initially ordered the burgundy but returned for the brown. I found the contrasting peachy pink, coral, colored trim was unattractive with burgundy. Not a good combination of colors, at least not for me. I would have much preferred all burgundy without the peachy contrast.

Easy to break in and super comfortable!
These were really comfortable with the appropriate socks and easy to break in! They weren’t overly hot either which is great.
