Husband Loved It!
I bought this shirt in the light blue for my husband for a trip to the shore. He has issues with too much sun and he loved this shirt's protection! He used the thumbholes to protect the back of his hands and the hood to protect head and neck. I just ordered him another since he wants one to wear when mowing our property. This time I had to get the navy since the light blue was sold out. The only issue my husband had was he wished it had a larger pocket for his phone/wallet, but he still loves the shirt! The shirt also looked great on him!

Love the thumb loops
This is a great solution to the problem of how to protect against the sun on those intense summer days. Light weight (although not particularly well vented), with a hood, and sleeve "hold down thumb loops", it's really versatile. I recently wore it for a top down cruise in an open roadster and, for the first time ever, DID NOT have sun burned wrists and ears due to those thumb loops and hood. It's also handy for an early morning dog walk. Keeps the chill at bay, and the hood keeps the bugs off. I rate it a 4 due to the sizing. LL Bean says it's "slightly fitted". In practice this means the my regular size (XL) is too small and I had to get an XXL. So, why not just size it normally?

Hooded Shirt
Returning item. The on line picture looked like the color was Blaze Orange which i need for kayak safety. Actual color is dull Orange. Fits tight compared to other shirts i purchased from LL Bean.

Cold not be more pleased. Wear during 4-5 hours mowing pasture. Keeps sun off. Wicks perspiration. Cools when moist. Very comfortable. Plan to wear in winter as fist layer. Hood was perfect to keep sun off neck, cheeks and face when combined with cap.

Comfortable for ocean use

Great hoodie, not too baggy on the hood part
My husband wears a S shirt most of the time, but this time a S is too tight across the chest and arms. Will need to reorder this in a M. Otherwise, it seems to be just what he wanted. So often the "hoodie" tops like this have big baggy hoods that won't stay up but this is a good one. The height and weight I'm listing are for my husband.

Fantastic + Comfortably Designed
I expected some resistance trying to talk my 48-year-old handicapped son into wearing this at the beach. However, he went along and continued to ask for the long-sleeve shirt! The shirt kept him comfortable and could be very cooling when wet. He didn't want the hood but we did like how the shirt covered the neck very well without being tight or having a zipper. He normally wears a men's medium but for this I ordered a large. It was comfortably roomy and easy to get on dry and off wet. So we lotioned face and legs and he was able to sit at the surf as long as he wanted with no worries. Highly recommend!

Cooling, yes!
Since there’s not a women’s equivalent, I bought a men’s shirt and with the raglan sleeves I think it looks fine. I really like it! I wear it while operating a commercial lawn mower. The hoodie protects my neck even when it’s not pulled up. I also plan to wear it biking.

Great Fit and Coverage
Fits well, and the hood has good overlap at the neck under the chin. I’m always concerned about sunburn when doing outdoor activities, and this removes that worry. Getting ready to purchase a second one just like it.

Great product & multi-purpose
My wife and I both have one that was purchased as sunscreens while kayaking and rafting. We’re camped on the Gulf Coast this weekend and the mosquitoes are terrible. These work well at covering most of the upper torso without being too hot.
