nice, but...
nice, comfortable pants the fit the bill on the trail, hanging out or around the town. A few different length options would be nice but not a deal breaker, but the pockets DO need to be deeper. It's interesting (actually frustrating) when Bean offers new products representing variations on a current/traditional product they make minor changes that DO NOT improve on the original product. It would really be nice if the designers were consistent of Bean specifically notes where/how the new product is different.

Nice looking extremely comfortable trousers
I bought the tan (coffee) color of these pants a few weeks back. And bar none.. they are the most comfortable pants i have ever owned. For walking, lounging, every day life.. and even appointments etc.. these are now my go-to pants. I looked into these after the Cresta water resistant pants previously. The extra comfortable waistline drew me to these, reminiscent of the comfort waistline of the llbean jeans which i also love. It allows one to have up and down days.. go out to eat .. etc.. etc.. without having to stress about whether or not your pants are going to pop a button getting up… lol.. Would love if they had more colors. And i look forwards to the backordered color which i purchased as well. Thanks llbean! By the way, i am 5’6” tall.. medium/muscular build… i weight approximately 163 lbs… and these fit wonderful. I ordered the medium with 28 inch inseam. LOVE that llbean has the shorter inseams as clothing NEVER actually matches the length given. So these shorter lengths are a life saver!

Bring Back Black!!!
These were perfect for work, but for work I can only use black, like a lot of people. And there used to be a black option. Why would they drop THAT one and just have the others? I would but this again today in black if I could, but I can't use the others. Please don't forget your customers and just get creative on color cute names. Bring back black!!! Please!!!

Purchased for my husband. He really enjoys this fabric, general style and zip pockets.
I hope you come out with an actual navy or other shade of blue that isn't so close to gray though. These in carbon navy look more dark gray than blue to us.

Solid Outdoor Pant with a 'finished look'.
Still pretty new but, so far, overall a good pant. Durable fabric with decent water repellency. The comfort elastic in back provides 'give' while bending /climbing plus it's nice to have a front zipper, snap and tie (because of the elastic). Only minor complaint is accessing the rear pockets which are positioned more to the side for functionality/comfort when hiking (I like that) but are narrow making hard to reach into them.

Bad rear pocket zippers
The pants fit well on me, especially with the comfort waist, but my only dislike are the rear pocket zippers. The zippers are very hard to zip with one hand. You must hold the opening straight with one hand, and with the other, zip it close. Otherwise, it's as if the zipper is stuck and won't budge. LL Bean needs to source another zipper for the pockets on these pants.

Great, except the pockets
Pants are comfortable and great for travel, hiking, etc.
The pockets are AWFUL though. Front pockets are way too small. My cell phone (iPhone 15 pro, not max) sticks 1/3 of the way out and falls out every time I sit down. Front pockets should be at least 1”-2” deeper.
The side pocket is also just a little too shallow for my phone. It should be at least 1/2”-1” deeper, IMO.
Can’t recommend because of the pockets. Otherwise would recommend.
