Very thick material. Warm. I usually take a Xl tall but ordered an xxl since last item ran small. Too big but shrank in dryer to acceptable size.

An LL Bean classic, still great
Classic LL Bean sweater. I got the one with the white checks, just like they made 40 years ago when I was in college. Fits perfectly, weight is perfect, not too late. Nice tight, weave, very good sweater.
