Good support
Comfortable, good support, and water-proof as advertised. Laces don't snug down the upper part of the boot on my foot/ankle as much as I'd like when I wear a lighter weight sock.

LL Bean Hiking Boots
I just purchased my second pair of these boots. My first pair lasted about ten years, and got me through a lot of hiking. These are comfortable boots that provide great protection. Looking forward to breaking them in!

Narrower and less volume than previous models
I had a pair of the Bigelows from 2016 and they were fabulous. I have a high instep, and I also do high-altitude trekking which requires extra space for thick socks. This new model is much narrower than previous models, and way less space. Really geared towards casual day-hikers with narrow feet. I switched to Merril Moab 3 which fit much closer to the original LL Bean Bigelow boot.

Not like the old ones
My husband has been buying these boots for many years for work and loved them. Such a good fit right out of the box. But these new "Bigelow" look the same but do NOT fit the same. He noticed right away they fit tighter and seemed narrower. After wearing these boots for about five months he ended up with plantar fasciitis. Can't say the boots caused it, but he had no problems before. He is definitely not happy with these boots anymore.

Excellent hiking boots
Excellent hiking boots! I put Birkenstock inserts in the boots and the boots were very comfortable. The boots made the feet and heals stable. Top of the line construction! Size 14D perfectfit!
