bad purchase
As a "walking" shoe I expected these shoes to be comfortable right out of the box. They were not. I tried to break them in, which prevents returning them, but no luck. I tried short walks, then gradually going further. The furthest was about 45 minutes and my feet hurt for about a day. It will be the last time I wear them. Also, the laces suck, they don't stay tied. I replaced the laces hoping it would help with comfort. It did not. What a waste of money, very disappointing!

Very comfortable shoe
Comfortable, sturdy and wears well. Great for walking and everyday wear. This is my 3rd pair of this model (or it's iteration) over the past 6 years.

Love the Walkers
I love the walking shoes. I walk over five miles a day, 7 days week. I have always worn the mountain hikers over 40 years, so when I saw that LL Bean had walking shoe I had to try them. From the moment I laced them up I found them to be comfortable, stable and a joy to wear. I highly recommend these shoes to anyone serious about walking.

These are the best
This is my second pair I ordered because they are so perfect I hope they don't discontinue them. I am still wearing my first pair. No breakin needed. Roomy at the toes. Solid sole support. Whenever I go out and plan to be on my feet for a long time, I wear these llbean sneaks. Sometimes everything is right. Fit, size, style, and comfort. These are the best
