A new twist on tradition - this ultrasoft flannel was inspired by classic field shirts from the L.L.Bean archives. Features larger-scale Scottish tartans and quilted trim for a handsome, rugged look.
For over 80 years, we've been making our authentic Scotch Plaid flannel shirts the way we always have: better than everyone else's. Our exclusive flannel fabric is meticulously woven with longer-staple cotton, which means the individual cotton fibers are about one-quarter inch longer than short-staple fibers, making a huge difference in fabric strength and quality. Then, it's meticulously brushed eight times on each side and given a "touch test" by a master weaver to declare it soft enough.

Great Look, Weird Sizing
I had high hopes for this shirt because it looks so cool, but the sizing is bizarre. I've been through a few dozen LLB flannel shirts over the years, all of them size L Slightly Fitted. For reference, I am 6'0" tall, 190lbs, 44" chest, 36" waist. This shirt has a weird extra flap of fabric inside across the shoulders and it makes the shoulders tight and inflexible. On the size L, that flap of fabric was so tight across my back, it tore right up the middle when I bent over. I exchanged it for an XL and the shoulders fit great but the body is so big there's room for two of me in there.
So if you're real skinny, order your regular size. If you're chubby, order up a size. But if you're remotely "athletic" in shape skip this shirt, sadly.
If it could be manufactured without that weird extra fabric, I'd rebuy them.

Terrific shirt
A traditional LLB Scotch Plaid shirt developed with hunters/shooting sports in mind. The articulating shoulders provide greater range of motion and the shoulder patches are a nice touch. My favorite LLB shirt and I have many.

Quality clothing lasts for ever!
My grandson goes to college in Vermont where the winters are long and cold. I thought this flannel shirt would help keep him warm. He absolutely loved it and wore it back to Vermont!
