Winner cotton Sweater!
Beautiful thick cotton sweater. Perfect for winter. Runs small. I had to exchange small for a medium. No problem exchanging.

Warm, but runs small
This sweater is thick and warm. Definitely well made, but it runs small. I'm usually a solid medium at LLBean, but based on reviews, I ordered a large. I'm glad I did because it's tight in the arms and across the chest. While the pattern and color are beautiful, it is not necessarily a flattering fit because of the thickness. Even still, I like it and will be wearing it often this winter (and hopefully for years to come!)

Disappointed
I am 5'5, 140lbs. I don't typically have problems with the length of sleeves on things I buy but these sleeves were slightly short making this sweater a little uncomfortable. Also, the loose knit of this sweater makes it kind of see through despite being such a heavy knit. There should be no gaps in this sweater. I should not have wear a shirt under this thick, heavy sweater so people don't see my bra. With that said, the color is pretty and I was warm when wearing it.

Very Nice but with a Caveat….
I purchased 3 sweaters at the same time and this review is for all three. They are very nice sweaters. I ordered large/tall. I’m not big or tall of stature but LL Bean’s clothes are made for short-waisted short-armed women. So, to get their clothes to fit and look appropriate and not look like hand-me-downs I order up. Because I feel I must order up their clothes can look a little baggy through the body. It’s no real concern with sweaters because I always layer underneath.

Not as Expected
I own several size XS regular Double L Cable sweaters purchased 2 or more years ago that I love. However, this sweater is a much looser knit and is very large for an XS. Also the color is called Larkspur which appeared on the website to be a lighter blue/lavender color. The sweater is actually a dark, dull gray/blue. This is another example of the size inconsistency and poorer quality of my recent LL Bean purchases.
