Pretty but...
This sweater is very pretty and well made EXCEPT for the ribbing at the neck. Unfortunately the neck is knitted and reinforced in a way that it would not go over my head. I am a knitter and immediately recognized the problem.

Have these in many colors including the funnel hi neck design .. Love the heavier construction and weight for the very cold north east days, and they easily layer with a T - neck underneath.

I find this sweater to be true to size and a heavyweight cotton. It’s comfortable and warm. A little bulky under my coat but like I said, it keeps you warm. I purchased the Dark Twilight Blue color and it’s very pretty.

Beautiful warm sweater!
Very nice warm sweater. Heavier than my other 2 cable knits from LLBean. Cables are larger. Sleeves are about 1.5 inches longer for the petite M size also. I would recommend this to anyone in a colder climate.

Love the 100% cotton cable sweater
Love the quality and color of this sweater! I'm tired of buying synthetic blend sweaters that pill after a few months, so going with 100% cotton from now on. I am 5'0, 130 lb, athletic build and purchased size petite medium. It was a tad big to begin with, but after washing and drying, the fit is perfect. Sleeves and body length are good. Thank you LL Bean for carrying petite sizes!

This is a very heavy and thick sweater, like just holding it you can feel the heft. The xs fits me good, maybe a touch short in the sleeve but I think I'm just used to sleeves being longer these days to cover your hands. I'm 5' 4" and 110.

Love it!! Tall size is the way to go! My regular size sweaters always seemed to shrink over time but the tall sizes are the Goldilocks fit for me. I hope that it will become available in all women’s sweaters.

Great if you want a sweater which doesn't really keep you warm and which doesn't hold its appearance. If you want something better, you can get true merino wool Irish Aran cable knit sweaters direct from Ireland for pretty good prices, often on sale.

Color slightly diff than picture
After pairing this color w/purple turtle neck, I came around to liking it. This is a beautifully crafted, very substantial cotton sweater. My only complaint is that I’ve bought other LARGE LLBEan sweaters which fit perfectly, but this was a bit snug thru the chest/shoulders. It did loosen up after wearing.

Superior quality
This color is perfect to coordinate with several other pieces I already have. The sweater has just the right amount of weight (without being too heavy) for a breezy day to ward off the cold. I can wear it with a collared blouse or turtleneck when the weather is extra chilly to help stay warm. I absolutely love cable knit sweaters and I have already purchased more sweaters from Bean. Their workmanship can't be beat!

As others stated, arms are tight. It says fitted, but the fit is not right. Even if I ordered a M, the way it's made, arms would still be tight.

Pretty sweater
I purchased this sweater last year in a different color and really liked it. Recently I purchased it in a different color but the same size. It is very pretty and well made, but it is a good bit smaller than the previous one. I laid them out together to be sure. That is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. It's a more tailored fit, but still is fine.

Well made, A Size Small and Dark Colors
This sweater was made like a classic and I like that. I'm keeping this one in Larkspur but it's a full size smaller than I expected. I was hoping for some extra room. Now I worry about it shrinking when I wash it. It's a Large that fits like a Medium Petite. The navy color is a midnight navy and the Storm Teal is aptly named, because the teal was much darker and "stormier" than I imagined from my phone and laptop. If I could get the Larkspur in XL I would buy it, but it's unavailable so I am keeping what I have although it is snug and limits what I can wear under it. I'm just really afraid it will shrink.

Runs very small and tight. Bunches up under the arms and not comfortable. Cable does not continue on sides. However quality of cotton thread is good. I have 2 of these, 1 was a gift. Would not recommend or buy again. Sorry. Not up to Bean standards.
