Great Jacket

Material not as expected
The shirt fit well and arrived in a timely manor. The reason for only 4 stars was that I thought it would be softer and less stiff after washing it, but it was not. I wear it layered and opened over a thin shirt. When the weather gets warm, I will use it as a light jacket.

There’s nothing like an L.L. Bean chamois shirt
I have been wearing L.L. Bean chamois shirts for 40 years now. They serve as overshirts, light jackets, and bathrobes, and they do a great job! (Some people wearthem as shirts, but I like a little something underneath.) They hold in body heat much better than a sweater does, they come in wonderful colors, and they last forever. They also make an excellent gift because who doesn’t need one of these?

A Really Classic Piece of Winter Clothing
The red chamois Bean shirt is a classic - beautiful, sturdy, and warm. (I always prefer the chamois shirt to flannel, although Bean also has some beautiful flannel shirts.) I am a New Englander and always want the red chamois Bean shirt to wear in the winter months! I just wish Bean sold the red chamois shirt in the plus sizes, too!

Warmth in many ways
Nice shirt. Warm and cozy for these winter months in Maine. I rated it 4 star only because the light color shows dirt and spills more easily, but that's not LL Beans fault. The gold color is pretty and adds to the ambience of warmth.

Warm and cozy. Nice that women get to enjoy the warmth of these shirts. Men seem to always get the warm stuff. The fabric is dense, not a thin flannel. Although the fabric is soft, it is not wimpy. For me the fit of this shirt vs their other women’s chamois fits better. I have one of those with straight bottom pocket flaps, I had to size up. 5'4" 176lbs I purchased a large in the rose color. I wash in cold and hang to dry.

I have bought many chamios from LL Bean over the years and the womens always fit tight. So I always bought mens. Great winter workshirt or casual go to. This chamios fits perfect even after washing cold and hung to dry. Love it. Great red color too.

Runs small.
Runs small. My father has worn these shirts for years. I was excited to see them in plus, but they’re very narrow and not cut for true plus. It felt like juniors extended sizing. Arms were tight and no way to button. I hope improvements happen.

Yummy-feeling shirt ordered in Navy color. The longer length lends it to being great for layering over a short- or long-sleeved t-shirt, and not as warm as a sweatshirt. Love the cotton fabric that breathes well, so no overheating. Would order again.
