These expert craftspeople meticulously brush our Scotch Plaid fabric eight times on each side to create a long-lasting material with that distinctive smooth and cozy feel. But that doesn't automatically make it plush enough. It still needs to pass the "touch test," and only a master weaver can declare it soft enough.

V ERY DISAPOINTED
I bought the shirt less than a month ago and I was very pleased when I first got the shirt. It fit me perfectly, it is warm and I loved the antique dress stuart plaid However, after only 3 short wearings the fabric has started to pill; I am 76 so I certainlly didn't give it hard wear, and I have yet to wash it.
It use to be when you bought LLBean you were assured of getting quality. I still have some of my Bean cloths from 15 years ago. It is sad to say that is know longer true.

A new spin on an old favorite!
I absolutely love this shirt! The traditional cozy flannel plaid that I love from L.L. Bean, with a new twist…a zipper! I get so many compliments; everyone recognizes the quality L.L. These are not quality shirts
These are not well made shirts. Facing added to pockets, collars, and cuffs to keep them from wrinkling is a step that is missing from these shirts. They feel cheaply made. Not to mention whatever zipper was used will not lie flat either.

Nice looking shirt
Purchased this shirt in an XL , Blue plaid, nd it fits so nicely! Flannel is medium weight and warm. Pleated back makes it an easy and comfortable fit. Washed up nicely and with a light ironing, looks like new.

Hem is longer in back than in the front
I couldn't tell from the photos, but this shirt is longer in the back than the front. I really hate this fashion trend, that I thought would have gone away by now, but it's becoming nearly impossible to buy a shirt anymore that isn't longer in the back. The style doesn't look good on me. It looks like I sat on the shirt and my big butt stretched it out in back. I bought this shirt in the dark green plaid, and it was everything I hoped it would be -- beautiful, soft, very well made. But I just can't stand the uneven hem, so I sent it back. I used to be safe buying men's shirts, but now I'm noticing even the men's shirts in some catalogs are now longer in the back. Can't a person buy a simple, classic shirt anymore?
