No way to secure rear pockets
Bought these and discovered no buttons or velcro on rear pockets. How are you supposed to keep your wallet from popping out when you sit down? I have a previous version of this product with the same name but they have a way to secure the rer pockets.

Well insulated pant!
Ordered these pants for my husband. Ordered the 32"/29" size in the Loden. This is his usual size in Bean slacks. Although he liked the fact they were very well lined with the Permaloft; he could not button the waist. All his current L L pants still fit well in the 32"/29" size. We are returning these. He states he may look at your thermal long johns instead.

I needed a replacement for annolder pair that is worn at hem.
This pair does not have buttons for suspenders.
This pair does not have stretch waist so you can add layers to keep warmer, stay out longer or wear in sub 0 Temps.
This pair has much less or lower quality insulation.
The pockets have been redesigned so you can keep more stuff on you as you freeze due to previously made comments on thermal insulation.

i have bought these pant 4 times. My most recent order delivered pants that were 50% thinner than my previous orders even though the order and item number were the same. Obviously, ll bean is deceiving their customers and providing them with cheaper products in order to save money

OK -- but!
Pants are well made, warm & a good f it. The pocket setup is poorly designed. The open (cell phone) pocket is too short & if anything of any size is in ot the pocket behind it the whole side just bulges.

These pants are as warm as wool and feel much nicer. I use them for camping in cool/cold weather. They have a full cut as is appropriate for outdoor work/camping pants. What's not to like.
