Nice sweater but does not feel like Marino Wool.
I am a big fan of 100% marino wool products and most of my clothing has been Marino Wool for several years now so I am very familiar with it. The wool this sweater was made of while nice and heavy did not feel as soft as Marino Wool and actually felt coarser and itchier. I suspect that it was maybe a blend of Marino Wool and a coarser wool although it was supposed to be 100% Marino Wool.
The other thing I did not like was the collar, I don't like collars that stand up like that although I was able to fold it over a little. I thought I would check it out but unfortunately it did not work for me.
The sweater was obviously high quality, well constructed and I probably would have kept it if it had actually felt like Marino Wool.

Something has gone wrong in the design
5' 9.5", 197 lbs, broad shouldered, narrow waist and hips.
I ordered an XL.
Great materials and construction.
Shoulders much too narrow for an XL.
Sleeves, from elbow to the shoulder balloon excessively almost as if they came from a XXXL.
Just looks weird.
I've taken it to a tailor to see if they can adjust the sleeves.
I'll have to live with the shoulders.

Good quality but fits at least 2 sizes too small
I placed an L.L. Bean online order of 5 shirts and this sweater. XL Tall was a prefect fit in all of the shirts. Based on customer reviews that this sweater fits too small, I ordered an XXL regular. It was still too small, fitting tight around the upper arms and shoulders. I will be returning it and not ordering another as the cut of this sweater is not right for me.

Very pleased
Great design and sizing is spot on. I like the stand collar. I would say it runs a bit to the smaller size which is fine by me. For a wool sweater, it is not too itchy. I have worn it with just a t-shirt. I have also worn it over a long sleeved performance 1/4 zip and it was still comfortable and super warm.
