Quality material and size, could use a few tweaks
The size is perfect, shoulder straps are nice and comfy, and the materials seem long lasting. My few tweaks would be: 1. Reconfigure the handle straps, make them longer or in a way that they aren’t in the way of the zippers, 2. Get rid of the insulated pocket and/or make it much wider so you can fit baby bottles or small Tupperware, right now it’s pretty useless except for papers or wipes. 3. Make the side bottle pockets more substantial and easier to use, wide and tall enough to put a 40oz water bottle would be nice, 4. Add some D rings or carabiner type clips to the side to add a crossbody strap or other necessities.

Roomy bag. But a bit heavy
I’ve been using this bag for over a year with two under two. I am expecting my third child and am considering buying other bags because this one gets really heavy and is wide, sometimes it doesn’t fit well behind the front seat of car and definitely is tight on the airline at times. With that said, here are the things we love
- clips on backpack straps for stroller attachment!
- two webbing straps making it easy to just pick up quickly off the ground and move it
- quick access shallow but long pockets on top for important items like keys, phone, chapstick.
- larger compartment is open with two large stretchy pockets I use for wipes in one, diapers in the other. The rest of the compartment I use small waterproof bags to organize everything. Snacks, toiletry items like sunscreen, aquaphor, etc
- that this bag isn’t too deep, and sits up on its own (usually)
- water bottle pockets on each side
- the front pocket that is just stretchy material I always put my phone there for quick access
What I could do without:
The cooler compartment is narrow and not useful. I never use it. I just use a snack bag and bring a separate small cooler which fits in the main compartment of the bag. The cooler is a huge miss imo.

The handles are always in the way of the zipper. Inner layer got stucked in the zipper.

Good, but not great.
Nice bag, good capacity. The straps are an issue. The backpack straps could use a place to store when not in use. A longer strap is needed to carry on shoulder. The short handles are okay, but a little tight.

Just wish it had a trolley sleeve
this is an awesome personal item bag as a Flight Attendant . It’s the one I’ve been using for the past couple months. It’s awesome. The stroller straps work OK to hold it on my roller board, but it would be awesome. If it had a trolley sleeve that would make us bag perfect

Absolutely the best!!
I’m not really a big LL Bean shopper but this bag may change that! We have a newborn and toddler, so honestly, we carry a lot of stuff. We’ve done multiple bag prior to this, including the viral ones that are twice the price and it’s not even close — this bag is the best. Why?
1. Lightweight materials. The stuff in the bag weighs enough.
2. It is wider and shallower so you can easily find stuff. This bag holds a lot so you want to be able to look around.
3. Light colored interior, so again, you can easily find stuff
4. High quality
5. The pockets and zippers make sense! Everything has a place and the pockets are all the right so to be useful without overwhelming.
6. Unisex so my husband and I both carry it w out the need to switch bags.
I wish we’d found this bag with our first but we love it now!

Highly recommend this diaper bag- if you're considering it, just buy it. You won't regret it! Like one of the other reviews mentioned, I don't understand why it doesn't seem to show up on lists of the best diaper bags. It is very high quality as expected from LL Bean, reasonably priced, and a great size. I received one as a gift from my baby registry and then loved it so much that I bought a second one in the new blue color to carry everything I need for pumping when I'm at work. I work in healthcare and this is able to hold everything I need for pumping as well as my lunch bag for my 24 hour shifts away from home with room to spare. I also love that it doesn't explicitly look like a diaper bag- I definitely plan to use both of mine as carry ons/luggage in the future. My ONLY complaint about it is the ridiculously narrow insulated pocket- it is a tight fit with a flexible ice pack and one of our 8 oz glass baby bottles. This isn't a dealbreaker for me personally as I would typically plan to have a dedicated cooler bag with me if I was going to be out and about long enough to need multiple bottles anyway, but it is a bit disappointing nonetheless.
