Really well made! LOVE these boots
My husband really likes the comfortable ankle support these boots provide. Sturdy but not rigid. 9 1/2 EE is perfect size, and the very roomy toe box is perfect! He's been looking for a pair of boots like this pretty much "forever". SO glad to have finally found these boots!

Unsatisfactory Boots
While I liked the appearance of the boots, I found them impossible to wear for extended periods of time. So I returned them for a refund. My feet/legs have no problems wearing other boots of any type, hiking, issue, jump or special purchase marching boots in the army, or any others. These boots bound in the area of the ankles, and on both sides and at the top of the boot where it is tied. I tried to wear break them in for about 5 or 6 miles but the pain due to circulation cut off was too great. I was planning to buy the Maine Warden boots but may not. Unless I could try them on first, maybe at the local RI store at Garden City, if they have them.

Out of the Box Comfort
I bought these and wore them for 10 hours on their first day out of the box, and did not regret it. They are comfortable, light and waterproof which is needed for these Maine Springs. I have been super pleased with how they wear and look.

Wombat boots
These boots are great so far, I have been using them for about a month pretty much daily. The wide toe box is super comfy and allows for an easy break in and also the lower heel compared to a traditional hiking boot has been awesome. The vibram soles are grippy on ice, I walk 3-5 miles a day on snowmobile trails and my feet haven’t gotten wet yet and the boots are holding up as they should.. time will tell

Great Boot
This is an outstanding boot, size and fit perfect. Not to heavy yet comfortably enough for all day wear. My only complaint ... Packaging. A regular shoe box will not make it through shipment without being damaged. Common sense dictates items be placed in a suitable box for shipping. This issue needs to be resolved ....

Great boot! The style is great. The quality is standard Bean. I originally purchased size 10 1/2---which I've worn for a long time---but had to exchange them for 10s (easy process). They are a little stiff but not bad at all. I highly recommend them.

High quality, no break-in period.
My son needed hunting boots immediately, so we bought a couple of pairs to try on from LLBean. These were his favorite. No break-in period. It was warm for October hunting, and my son’s feet usually sweat a lot, but he was very comfortable in the cornfields and brush all day.

Excellent boots.
Thses are excellent boots. They were comfortable right out of the box- no break-in period required.. They provide great arch and ankle support and the tread is fine on any surface in the woods. I haven’t had them long enough to rate durability but I am not worried, they seem very well constructed and sturdy. They do run big, though. I usually order wide, butt they were out so I tried standard and they are plenty roomy for heavy socks. I'm looking forward to trying them with snowshoes.

Poor eyelet design
Size of this boot runs large. Normally take a 10 or 10 & 1/2 but needed a 9 & 1/2 to fit properly. I needed a waterproof boot for early spring and fall that would keep my feet dry during early morning dew on grass areas that does not dry off until noon or later. It is a comfortable boot. I would have rated the boot a 5 but the lacing hooks are awkward. I would have preferred normal eyelets to lace the boots and not the current hook eyes, which make it difficult to lace tightly, especially when you’re in your 70’s. :-(

HEAVY BOOTS
These are the heaviest boots I have worn in a long time, they make for a very long day of walking. they also are very uncomfortable around the ankles. I just don't like the way they feel. I have to shop for a new lighter boot.

Winter storm boots
Got to try my newly purchased boots in the blizzard of 2022. They worked great. Kept my feet dry and warm and without sweating inside to boot. They are nice and light and my feet weren't fatigued after wearing them all day. The size & fit was perfect too. Thanks for this great product.

I am 76 years old and this boot really fit the bill for me. The toe room is wide and the boot hugs your ankle. the tongue is solid and not flimsy. I am really happy with this boot and I am fussy. Quality CONSTRUCTION and GREAT ON ICE!

Discontinued their best boot
I have been guiding in your Technical kangaroo boots with the boa lace system for years now and loved them. I guess LL Bean has discontinued the best boots they have ever had. Thought I would try these and hated then right out of the box. Sent them back. The boots felt heavier than the kangaroos and uncomfortable.

Nice but.....
Very nice boots and very comfortable BUT - too many seams that will wear when hunting upland birds.
Once the seam / threads wear their waterproofing ends. Easily fixable but by having them repaired / sewed, they will not be waterproof any longer since the gore-tex liner will be compromised.
I hunt many days each fall chasing pheasants and sharptails and the grass will wear out that stitching in no time. Otherwise boots are great for probably most people that only spend a few days in the field each fall.
